一 御役所より御書付が出されたところ、
左の通りです
古金銀通用の件について、当三月より停止するべき旨を去年の酉年七月に触れ出しましたが、今もって引き替え銭があるとのことで、遠国や渡海などで通路が不自由な場所では引き替えが残っている場合もあるかと思われます。そのため、なお来年の亥年正月まではこれまで通り古金銀の通用を行い、二月より停止することといたします。追々触れ出している通り、御料所は御代官、私領は領主・地頭において、なお手厚く世話をし、最寄りの引き替え所へ差し出し、来亥年正月までに残らず引き替えさせるよう致すべきです。もしまた古金銀を

1. An official document was issued from the government office,
as follows:
Regarding the circulation of old gold and silver coins, we issued an order in the 7th month of last year (Year of the Rooster) that their use should be discontinued from the 3rd month of this year. However, as there are still exchange coins remaining, and considering that in remote regions and overseas routes there may be places where transportation is inconvenient and exchanges may still remain incomplete, we will continue to allow the circulation of old gold and silver coins as before until the 1st month of the coming Year of the Boar, and discontinue it from the 2nd month. As has been repeatedly announced, in government territories the magistrates, and in private domains the lords and local administrators, should provide even more careful assistance and have [people] bring [old coins] to the nearest exchange locations to complete all exchanges by the 1st month of the coming Year of the Boar.
