之夜出会之上本証文認町方惣代四人在
檀頭的場村庄左衛門喜平次弥勒村茂左衛門印形
仕取極ニ相成銘々下山仕候折柄当住申聞候者庄
左衛門口入ニ而弐百両ニ三五之土蔵壱ヶ所寄附之
者茂有之趣ニ付買入誰ニ御座候哉与相尋候得共
一図取決候義茂不申候ニ付当住庄左衛門申合
岩太郎与増金為致度与奉存候其後追々
廻文相廻岩太郎江者厳敷替宅被申聞候
ニ付乍恐出訴仕御厄介筋奉恐入候右地面
之義者天保年中御沙汰筋茂不弁
任当住之意売払内談仕候段重々
奉恐入候此上以 御憐愍地代ニ而貸付
置申致依之双方江厚御利解被成下置候
様偏ニ奉願上候余者以口上御尋之節

二十四日に二百両を持参して受け取り相渡し預け置き、二十六日の夜に集会の上で本証文を認め、町方総代四人と在の檀家である的場村庄左衛門・喜平次、弥勒村茂左衛門が印形して取り決めとなり、銘々下山いたしました折、当住職が申し聞かせるには、庄左衛門の仲介で二百両に三間×五間の土蔵一か所を寄附する者もあるとのことで、買い入れは誰でございましょうかと相尋ねしましたが、
一向に取り決めの件も申さないので、当住職は庄左衛門と相談して岩太郎に増金をしたいと存じます。その後次々と廻状が回り、岩太郎には厳しく転居するよう申し聞かせがあったため、恐れながら出訴いたし、ご厄介をおかけして恐れ入ります。右の地面のことは天保年中のご沙汰筋も分からず、当住職の意向のままに売り払いの内談をいたした段、重々恐れ入ります。この上はご慈悲をもって地代で貸し付け置き申すよう、双方へ厚くご理解くださいますよう、ひとえに願い上げます。その他は口頭でお尋ねの節に申し上げます。
右の趣旨をもってご慈悲により願い上げました通りにお仰せ付けくださいますなら、一同ありがたき仕合わせと存じます。以上

On the 24th, he brought 200 ryō which we received and held in trust. On the night of the 26th, we held a meeting, drew up the formal contract, and had it sealed by four town representatives and rural parishioners: Shōzaemon and Kihei from Matoba Village, and Mozaemon from Miroku Village. The matter was settled and everyone departed. At that time, the head priest mentioned that through Shōzaemon's mediation, there was also someone willing to donate a storehouse measuring 3×5 ken in addition to the 200 ryō. When asked who the purchaser would be,
since no decision was made on this matter at all, the current head priest wishes to consult with Shōzaemon about providing additional payment to Iwatarō. Subsequently, circular notices were sent around and Iwatarō was sternly told to relocate. Therefore, we humbly submit this petition and deeply apologize for troubling you. Regarding this land matter, we do not understand the official directives from the Tenpō period, and we deeply regret having conducted private negotiations for the sale according to the current head priest's wishes alone. We now humbly request your compassion in allowing us to lease the property for ground rent, and ask that you provide thorough explanation to both parties. Other matters will be explained orally when inquired.
With the above circumstances, if you would mercifully grant our petition as submitted, we would all consider it a most grateful blessing. The above.
