当村石切之儀悉詮儀仕候処今年書上外
壱人も無御座候旅先ニ而石切随分実躰正路ニ
相廻り候様ニ為致承知候若御帳面除キ隠置候段
及御聞候ハヽ其元御注進可被成由致承知其拙者共
如何様成御咎ニ被 仰付候共少も御恨ミ申間敷候
為後日石切請負証文仍如件

差し上げ申し上げる一札の事
当村の石切の件について詳しく調査いたしましたところ、今年の書き上げ以外に一人もございません。旅先において石切が十分に誠実かつ正当な方法で仕事を行うよう心がけることを承知いたしております。もし帳面から除外して隠し置いた者がいることをお聞きになりましたら、そちら様にお知らせくださいますよう承知いたしております。私ども拙者がどのような咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しも恨み申すことはございません。後日のために石切請負の証文として、よって件の如し。

Document of Submission
Regarding the matter of stone cutters in our village, we have thoroughly investigated and found that there are no persons other than those listed in this year's registry. We acknowledge that stone cutters working in distant places should conduct themselves with complete integrity and in a proper manner. Should you hear that we have excluded and concealed anyone from the official records, we understand that you should report this to the authorities. No matter what punishment we humble persons might receive, we shall harbor no resentment whatsoever. This serves as a certificate of responsibility for stone cutters for future reference. Thus as stated.
