一、当村の御林において私ども代々御山守を勤めて参りましたところ、
だんだんと不届きな不調法をいたし、去る戊年に御吟味
の上で御山守を召し放たれ、その上で罪の軽重をお調べになり
それについて仰せ付けられましたところ、畏れ多く一言の申し分もございません
こと
一、御山守役をお取り上げになったところ、私は不届きな上に
申すまでもなく世間の評判はもちろん子孫まで迷惑をかけると存じ

Item: In the protected forest of this village, we have served as forest guardians for generations,

and we were assigned punishment accordingly. We humbly accept this with not a single word of objection
regarding this matter.

needless to say, I believe this will cause trouble not only to our reputation in society but also to our descendants
