現代語訳

村役人どもに御預けになられた所、村役人どもが常々不注意にしており放置していたため、御林の苗木なども生い茂らず、当村の長井筋なども所持しており困った状況でございます。そのため先年から寺社方または村々への預け木を下賜される際も難儀と存じ、その旨をお断りお願い申し上げましたが、それもかないませんでした。良い大木なども伐採され荒れ果て、ただ今頃は田地用水になりそうな木も無いような状態になってしまいました。この度の御改めに際し御吟味いただこうにも申し上げようもございません。その上また他村の林は地続きで苗木なども生育せず、常々御不審の通り申し上げようもございません。今後は苗木などが生育し、野立ちするようにいたします。もちろんこの旨は村中の総百姓は申すまでもなく、男女子供まで申し付け、御林の内へは松こみ掻きでも堅く立ち入らせません。村中の者は申すに及ばず、他村あるいは他領の者が参って木を伐採し、或いは苗木・松こみなどを掻き取る様子を見聞きいたしましたならば、早速参って持参道具を取り置き、名前を聞き届けて、その村の役人方へ届け出いたします。もちろん御領分の者でございましたら、然るべき奉行または
