急度断置可申候若見逃聞逃仕候而重而
御林御改之節逢御吟味申訳於難迄候山守ハ
不及申村役人共迄何分之曲事ニも可被仰候事
一 御林之内風折たおれ木立枯木御座候ハヽ是又
早々御註進可申上候山守ハ不及申村役人たり共
無御断内所候而自由成義仕間敷事
右之通此度御改御吟味之上被仰聞候趣一々承知
仕候村中惣百姓ハ不及申姥やもめ男女子共迄
家来等迄急度申付候而御林之内一切入申間敷候若
村中ニ壱人ニ而も不承ト申候而御林之内へ参候而不届キ
仕候者御座候ハヽ御詮義之上山寺ハ不及申村役人迄
何分之曲事ニも可被仰付候為後日名主組頭長百姓

現代語訳
厳重に断り置き申すべく候。もし見逃し聞き逃しいたしまして、重ねて御林御改めの節、御吟味に遭い申し訳が立たないまでに至りました時は、山守は申すに及ばず、村役人どもまで何分の曲事にも仰せ付けられ候事
一、御林の内、風折れ・倒れ木・立ち枯れ木がございましたら、これまた早々御注進申し上げ候。山守は申すに及ばず、村役人たりとも御断りなく内々に自由な事をいたすまじき事
右の通り、この度の御改め御吟味の上仰せ聞かされ候趣、一々承知いたし候。村中総百姓は申すに及ばず、姥・寡婦・男女子供まで、家来等まで厳重に申し付けまして、御林の内一切入り申すまじく候。もし村中に一人でも「承知しない」と申しまして御林の内へ参り不届きをいたす者がございましたら、御詮議の上、山守は申すに及ばず村役人まで何分の曲事にも仰せ付けられ候。後日のため、名主・組頭・長百姓・山守判形いたし差し上げ申す所、件の如し。

[we] shall strictly prohibit [such activities]. If we overlook or fail to hear of violations, and when the government forest is inspected again, we face investigation to the point where we cannot make excuses, then not only the mountain guards but also the village officials shall be subject to severe punishment.
Article 1: If there are trees broken by wind, fallen trees, or dead standing trees within the government forest, we shall also promptly report these. Not only mountain guards but even village officials must not act freely in private matters without permission.
As stated above, we have understood each and every point that was conveyed to us following this inspection and investigation. Not only all the farmers in the village, but also elderly women, widows, men, women, children, and even servants shall be strictly instructed that they must not enter the government forest at all. If even one person in the village says "I do not acknowledge this" and enters the government forest to commit violations, after investigation, not only the mountain guards but also the village officials shall be subject to severe punishment. For future reference, the headman, group leaders, senior farmers, and mountain guards affix their seals and submit this document as written above.
