現代語訳
境界が定まるまでは御林としてお立て置きになられますので、木立の内へは少しも手を差し伸べ申すまじき旨を仰せ付けられ、御もっともと存じ奉ります。然る上は、東は芝山久保通り総て一持分まで境の埒が明かでございませんので、内は持主たりとも少しも手を差し申しましたなら、仰せ上げられ何分の曲事にも仰せ付けられ候。その時分も御恨み申し上げ間敷く候。後日のため名主組頭並びに長百姓持主山守の判形証文、仍って件の如し。

Until the boundaries are determined, this area shall be maintained as lord's forest, so we must not lay hands on anything within the wooded area - this directive is entirely reasonable and we humbly accept it. Given this situation, to the east from Shibayama Kubo road, the boundaries of the entire single holding are not clearly defined. Even if one is the landowner, should anyone lay hands [on this area], it will be reported and whatever punishment deemed appropriate will be imposed. Even at that time, we shall harbor no resentment. For future reference, this sworn document bears the seals of the village head, group heads, senior farmer, landowner, and forest guardians. Therefore, as stated above.
