差上申一札之事
一 此度御林御廻り被仰付候趣一々得其意奉存候然は
弥念入御林薄キ所えは苗木等能たち候様ニ相守
可申候此以後柴かりハ不及申木葉かりニ而も
一切入申間敷候若入候ヲ見逃聞逃仕候由御聞及
候ハヽ御詮義之上何分ニ被仰上候共少も御恨申上
間敷候尤御林之内薮木下枝等ニ而もむさと無御断
切取申間敷候并風折たおれ木御座候ハヽ早速
御注進可申上候為後日名主組頭連判証文仍而

現代語訳
差し上げ申し一札の事
一、この度御林御回り（見回り）を仰せ付けられ候趣、一々その意を得て存じ奉ります。然らば、いよいよ念を入れて御林の薄い所には苗木等がよく育つよう相守り申すべく候。この以後、柴刈りは申すに及ばず、木の葉刈りであっても一切入り申すまじく候。若し入候を見逃し聞き逃し仕り候由、御聞き及び候わば、御詮議の上何分に仰せ上げられ候とも、少しも御恨み申し上げ間敷く候。もっとも御林の内、藪木や下枝等であってもみだりに御断りなく切り取り申すまじく候。並びに風折れ・倒れ木がございましたなら、早速御注進申し上げるべく候。後日のため名主組頭連判証文、仍って件の如し。

Article 1: Regarding the forest inspection that was ordered this time, we understand and accept each point of the instructions. Therefore, we shall be even more diligent in protecting the lord's forest, ensuring that in thin areas, saplings and such will grow well. From now on, we shall not enter at all, not only for brush cutting but even for leaf gathering. If it comes to your attention that we have overlooked or ignored someone entering, whatever judgment may be rendered after investigation, we shall harbor no resentment whatsoever. Of course, we shall not cut undergrowth, lower branches, or anything else within the lord's forest without proper permission. Also, if there are any wind-broken or fallen trees, we shall promptly report them. This joint pledge document by the village head and group heads is for future reference. Therefore, as stated above.
