Not to mention gathering firewood, even for collecting fallen leaves, no one shall enter [the protected forests] at all.
Item: When there are wind-broken or fallen trees within the protected forests, we shall immediately report this and act according to your instructions. Even mountain guardians and village officials shall not act freely and arbitrarily without permission. We shall diligently protect the forests so that the saplings and other trees may grow well. This written pledge is for future reference, as stated above.
