　　　　差上申証文之事
一　当村御林北西之方ニ麁畑拾八分之所
　　持主内林ニ仕立置申候此度御改ニ紛敷候様ニ
　　被仰候へ共内林ニ紛無御座候若御林之由
　　訴人申者御座候か或及御聞候ハヽ持主ハ不
　　及申村役人御案内之者迄被仰上何分之
　　曲事ニも可被仰付候為後日証文仍如件

現代語訳

証文を差し上げ申し上げる件について

一、当村の御林（お上の森林）の北西の方に粗畑十八分の所、
　　地主が私有林に仕立て置いておりましたが、この度の御改め（検査）において紛らわしいと
　　仰せられましたが、私有林に紛れはございません。もし御林であると
　　訴える者がおりましたり、あるいはお耳に入ることがございましたら、地主は申すまでもなく
　　村役人、案内の者まで呼び出されて、どのような
　　罪科にも処せられても構いません。後日のための証文として、よって件の如し

Item: Regarding rough farmland of eighteen bu in the northwest area of our village's御林 (government forest),
　　The landowner had established it as a private forest. During this official inspection, it was said to be confusing,
　　but there is no confusion with the private forest. If there should be anyone who claims this is government forest,
　　or if such matters should reach your ears, not only the landowner but also
　　the village officials and even the guides may be summoned, and we accept that any
　　punishment may be imposed upon us. This document serves as testimony for future reference. Thus as stated.
