差上申一札之事
一 此度御林為御改御廻り被成当村瀧ノ入御林壱畝
拾八分之所御水帳通御案内申所紛無
御座候然上ハ前々ゟ被仰付御制札之通弥
以念入堅相守可申候自今御林守御立被成候
上ハ柴切ハ不及申木の葉等ニ而も一切御林之内江え
堅入申間敷候若乱ニ入候ヶ見逃聞逃仕候由後日
及御聞被成候ハヽ山守ハ不及申名主組頭迄
何分之曲事ニも可被仰付候為後日一札仍如件

現代語訳
一札を差し上げ申し上げる件について
一、この度御林の検査のため御回りになられ、当村滝ノ入御林一畝十八分の所を御水帳（土地台帳）通りに御案内申し上げた所に、紛れはございません。そうである以上は、前々から仰せ付けられた御制札の通り、いよいよもって念を入れて堅く守り申し上げます。今後御林守をお立てになられた上は、柴刈りは申すまでもなく、木の葉等であっても一切御林の内へは堅く立ち入り申すまじく候。もし勝手に入ったのを見逃し聞き逃しをした由が後日お耳に達しましたならば、山守は申すまでもなく名主・組頭まで、どのような罪科にも処せられても構いません。後日のための一札として、よって件の如し

Written Pledge Submitted
Item: This time, for the inspection of the government forest, you made your rounds and we guided you through one tan eighteen bu of our village's Taki-no-iri government forest according to the land registry, and there was no confusion. Under these circumstances, we will strictly observe the government notice boards as instructed from long ago, with even greater care and diligence. Now that forest guards have been appointed for the government forest, not only cutting brushwood but even taking tree leaves or anything else from within the government forest is strictly forbidden. If it should later come to your attention that we overlooked or ignored anyone entering without permission, not only the mountain guard but also the village headman and group leaders accept that any punishment may be imposed upon us. This pledge serves as testimony for future reference. Thus as stated.
