一札之事
一 此度当村御林御改被成候得ハ南越御林
境目ニ而当村源右衛門心得違仕境松六七本
伐申候段御不審之趣申分ヶ無御座候依之
村役人長百姓紛守立合又候御境目改
申候所ニ御林之内ニ紛無御座候然ハ源右衛門
不届キ之致方申分少も無御座候依之
御注進被遊御詮義之筋ニ相極申候所
為右木代過銭以時節柄ヲ思召御免被遊
御注進之儀御用捨被下置村役人長
百姓難有奉存候此以後弥紛敷儀義無
御座候様ニ可仕候御境目切跡ニ来春苗
木植立可申候為後日仍如件

一札の件について
一、この度当村の御林の検査をなされましたところ、南越御林の境界において、当村の源右衛門が心得違いをして境界の松六、七本を伐採いたしました段、御疑念の趣もっともで申し開きはございません。これにより村役人・長百姓が境界を確認し立ち会いの上、改めて御境界を調査いたしましたところ、確かに御林の内に紛れなくございました。そうであれば源右衛門の不届きな行為は少しも申し開きができません。これにより御報告をなされ御詮議の筋に決まりました所、右の木代の過料として、時節柄を思し召され御免許いただき、御報告の件も御用捨いただき置かれ、村役人・長百姓ともありがたく存じ奉ります。この後はいよいよ紛らわしい事がございませんよう務めます。御境界の伐採跡には来春苗木を植え立てます。後日のため、よって件の如し

Written Pledge
Item: This time when the government forest of our village was inspected, at the boundary of the Nankoshi government forest, Genemon of our village made an error in judgment and cut down six or seven pine trees at the boundary. Your suspicions about this matter are justified and we have no excuse. Therefore, with village officials and senior farmers confirming the boundary and witnessing, we re-examined the government boundary, and it was indeed without doubt within the government forest. If so, Genemon's improper conduct has no excuse whatsoever. When this was reported and the matter was determined to require official investigation, considering the current circumstances, you graciously pardoned the fine for the aforementioned timber, and also excused us from the formal report. The village officials and senior farmers are most grateful for this consideration. Hereafter, we will ensure that no such confusing matters occur. At the boundary where trees were cut, we will plant saplings next spring. For future reference, thus as stated.
