之由畏入奉存候事
一 御林竹薮之内風折たおれ木雪折竹
等御座候共山守薮守りハ不申及村役人たり共
無御断而内所ニ而自由成儀仕間敷候御竹薮
之義来春中ニ而も相成候ハヽ四方垣ね等
仕候而竹之子時分猶又大切ニ仕相守り
可申事
右之通此度御改御吟味之上被仰聞候
趣一々承知仕候御林薮之義柴かりハ
不及申木之葉かき等御竹薮之内竹
切笹切ハ不及申竹之かわひろへニ而も堅
入申間敷候此旨村中男女之子共迄急度
申付随分大切ニ相守可申候若壱人にても
不承と申御竹薮之内え参り候而不届キ
仕候もの御座候ハヽ山守り薮守りハ不及申
村役人共迄御詮義之上何分ニも可被仰付候
現代語訳
この由、畏れ入って存じ奉る事
一、御林竹藪の内で風折れ、倒れ木、雪折れ竹等がございましても、山守、藪守りはもとより村役人であっても、お断りなく内密に自由な事をいたしてはなりません。御竹藪の義について、来春中にでも相成りましたならば、四方に垣根等を設けて、竹の子の時分にはなお一層大切にして相守り申すべき事
右の通り、この度のお改めご吟味の上でお聞かせくださった趣旨を一々承知いたしました。御林藪の義について、柴刈りはもとより木の葉掻き等、御竹藪の内での竹切り、笹切りはもとより竹の皮拾いであっても堅く禁止いたします。この旨を村中男女の子供まで急度申し付け、随分大切に相守り申します。もし一人でも承知しないと申して御竹藪の内へ参り、不届きを致す者がございましたならば、山守り、藪守りはもとより村役人共まで、ご詮議の上何分にもお申し付けください。

Article: Even if there are wind-fallen trees, fallen timber, or snow-broken bamboo within the forest groves and bamboo thickets, neither the mountain guards nor thicket guards, nor even village officials, shall take any unauthorized action in private without permission. Regarding the bamboo thickets, if it becomes possible by next spring, we shall construct fences on all four sides and guard the bamboo shoots with even greater care during the bamboo shoot season.
As stated above, we have understood each and every point of the instructions given to us following this inspection and examination. Regarding the forest thickets, not only brush cutting but also leaf gathering, and within the bamboo thickets, not only bamboo cutting and grass cutting but even collecting bamboo bark is strictly prohibited. We shall strictly instruct everyone in the village, including men, women, and children, in these matters and guard them with utmost care. Should even one person claim ignorance and enter the bamboo thickets to commit offenses, please impose whatever punishment you deem appropriate on not only the mountain guards and thicket guards but also the village officials after proper investigation.
