碑陰之文之趣ニ而は天正元酉年四月十二日病死
仮葬ニ致し同三亥年四月十二日於同所火葬分
骨同所ニ埋葬致し古墓石有之を中井清
太夫支配之節願之上安永八亥年只今之
新碑建《振り仮名：立｜リウ》砌右古墓石を新碑之底ニ埋■【汚れヵ】
祭いたし候由ニ付古墓之分文相糺候処法性
院大僧正機山信玄公大居士神儀天正元癸酉

午高【牛馬の誤】不浄等灌候儀も有之当国浪人共并

話致し墓所芝間三間四方石垣取立度旨申
立候武田氏之古跡ニ相違も無之旨相見え且雨

碑の裏面の文章の趣旨によれば、天正元年酉年四月十二日に病死し、仮埋葬を行い、同三年亥年四月十二日に同所において火葬し、分骨して同所に埋葬したとあり、古い墓石があったものを、中井清太夫の管轄の際に願い出た上で、安永八年亥年に現在の新しい碑を建立した時に、右の古い墓石を新しい碑の底に埋めて祀ったということなので、古い墓の分の文章を調査したところ、「法性院大僧正機山信玄公大居士神儀、天正元年癸酉四月十二日病死す。右三年の間秘密にしたのは諸方が敵国であったためで、乙亥四月十二日にこの所において御葬送があった」と記され、高さ二尺四寸の墓碑であったと申し立てています。現在は囲いがなく、牛馬の不浄などで汚されることもあり、当国の浪人たちおよび由緒ある者たちが甚だ嘆いているため、右の者たちが出金し、村内で世話をして、墓所の芝間三間四方に石垣を建てたい旨申し立てています。武田氏の古跡に相違ないと見受けられ、かつ雨覆い等もなく、壮麗にする意図もないため、岩窪村の願いの趣旨を承り届け出るべきかと伺い申し上げます。碑の裏面の文章は相...

According to the inscription on the back of the monument, [Takeda Shingen] died of illness on the 12th day of the 4th month of Tenshō 1, year of the rooster, was temporarily buried, and on the 12th day of the 4th month of Tenshō 3, year of the boar, was cremated at the same location, with divided bones buried at the same site. There was an old grave stone, and during Nakai Seitadayū's administration, upon petition, when the current new monument was erected in Anei 8, year of the boar, the old grave stone was buried at the base of the new monument and enshrined there. Therefore, upon investigating the inscription of the old grave, it reads: "Hōshō-in Dai-sōjō Kizan Shingen-kō Dai-koji passed away on the 12th day of the 4th month of Tenshō 1, year of mizunoto-tori. The reason for keeping this secret for three years was that all surrounding areas were enemy territories. The funeral service was held at this location on the 12th day of the 4th month of kinoto-i."
