差上申証文之事
金拾七両也
右者当村萩ノ尾御林六割之内先達而
三ツ分被遊御払相残三ツ分之内壱ツ分此度
私江御払被成下御買請仕候所相違無御座候
右代金之内当年五両差上相残拾弐両
壱ヶ年三両宛来ル辰ノ暮迄ニ上納可仕候然ル上ハ

御林□□被 仰付候通大切ニ相守少しも麁略
成儀仕間敷候御用炭之義随分入念前
々之通差上可申候万一被 仰付候趣とも
相背候ハヽ何分ニも可被 仰付候為其御請合
証文差上候所仍如件

現代語訳
【右丁】
差し上げ申す証文のこと
金十七両也
右は当村萩ノ尾御林六割の内、先達って
三つ分を御払い遊ばされ、相残り三つ分の内一つ分をこの度
私へ御払い成し下され、御買い請け仕り候ところ相違ございません。
右代金の内、当年五両差し上げ、相残り十二両は
一ヶ年三両ずつ来る辰の暮までに上納仕るべく候。然る上は

御林について仰せ付けられ候通り大切に相守り、少しも粗略な
ことは仕るまじく候。御用炭の義も随分入念に前
々の通り差し上げ申すべく候。万一仰せ付けられ候趣きに
背き候はば、何分にも仰せ付けられるべく候。その為の御請け合い
証文を差し上げ候ところ、よって件のごとし。

Certificate of submission
Gold: 17 ryō
The above concerns one portion out of the remaining three portions of the six-tenths allocation of Haginoo Imperial Forest in our village, of which three portions were previously sold off, and this one portion has now been sold to me without any discrepancy in the purchase agreement.
Of the above payment, I submit 5 ryō this year, and the remaining 12 ryō
shall be paid at 3 ryō per year until the end of the coming Year of the Dragon.

I shall carefully protect the Imperial Forest as instructed and will not commit any negligent acts. Regarding the official charcoal duties, I shall continue to submit them with great care as in previous years. Should I fail to comply with any instructions given, I shall accept whatever punishment may be decreed. I hereby submit this agreement certificate as assurance of the above.
