一請所山名所切杣入山続ニ而も不請負所猥ニ
杣入申間敷事
附請所山自分之名代を貸少ニ而も材木不可
為致出入尤極印貸借又ハ元〆をも不出置
極印杣日雇ニ預ヶ置雇候もの次第ニ不可致事
一請所山之儀致山分年切ニ相渡可申事
附御請所山江不時ニ見分役人差出可申事

一下川之節川筋田畑之儀ハ不及申橋々川除不
損様ニ可流之自然有之場所於令破損者木主
方ゟ不及違背前々之通急度拵置其村之
名主方へ可相渡事
一杣日雇前金扶持米其外貸借之儀手形致
取替追而勘定之節明白ニ可差引放埓いたし
後日ニ滞候共証拠無之義者相対ニ而埒明役所へ

一 請負所山の名所切り杣入山の続きであっても、請負所でない所へ、みだりに
杣入り申すまじき事
附け 請負所山の自分の名代を貸し、少しでも材木を
出し入れしてはならない。もっとも極印の貸借または元締めをも出し置かず、
極印杣・日雇いに預け置き、雇い候者の次第にしてはならない事
一 請負所山の儀、山分け年切りに相渡し申すべき事
附け 御請所山へ不時に見分役人を差し出し申すべき事

一 下川の節、川筋田畑の儀は申すに及ばず、橋々川除を
損なわないように流すべし。自然これある場所において破損させた者は、木主
方より違背に及ばず、前々の通り急度拵え置き、その村の
名主方へ相渡すべき事
一 杣・日雇いの前金扶持米その他貸借の儀、手形を
取り替え、追って勘定の節、明白に差し引くべし。放埒をなし、
後日に滞り候とも、証拠なき義は相対にて埒明け、役所へ

One: Even in areas adjacent to contracted mountain sites where designated woodcutters enter the mountains, woodcutters shall not carelessly enter non-contracted areas.
Addendum: One's representatives at contracted mountain sites shall not lend their authority, and no timber, however small the amount, shall be transported. Most importantly, official seals shall not be lent or borrowed, nor shall head supervisors be appointed without proper authorization. Official seal holders, woodcutters, and day laborers shall not be left in charge, nor shall employed persons act at their own discretion.
One: Contracted mountain sites shall be divided by area and transferred on an annual basis.
Addendum: Inspection officials shall be dispatched to contracted mountain sites at irregular intervals.

One: During downstream transport, regarding riverbank rice fields and other fields, it goes without saying, but logs shall be floated so as not to damage bridges and river embankments. Should damage naturally occur at any location, the timber owner shall, without fail and according to previous practice, promptly make repairs and deliver compensation to the village headman.
One: Regarding advance payments, sustenance rice, and other loans to woodcutters and day laborers, promissory notes shall be exchanged, and at the time of later settlement, accounts shall be clearly balanced. Even if negligence occurs and delays arise later, matters without evidence shall be resolved through mutual agreement, and [disputes brought] to the government office...
