一野道者馳走として夫等外等作候義

右者今度御領所国二巡見被出候二付

口上書 嵯峨御所
京都嵯峨の法輪寺は勅願寺であるゆえ、国中再勧化巡行をいたすよう、去る卯年より寺社奉行の連印の御下知状あり。今般伽藍御修覆に付き、先格の通り綸命を蒙り畢んぬ。これに依り公儀からも格別の思召を以て、日本国中に仰せ出されることに付き、この度在郷・町々残らず勧進候間、名主・組頭の内で在宿すべきもの有り。なお寺社方へは村々名主中より通達を請けるべし。向後勧進の儀は寺格に相応じ勧進し、滞りなく相済むよう願い存ず。一村まで勧進の儀も直納いたし候間、左様心得らるべし。

Hōrin-ji Temple in Kyoto Saga is an imperial prayer temple (chokugan-ji), therefore there was an official decree with joint seals from the Temples and Shrines Magistrate from the previous U-Ushi year to conduct fundraising tours throughout the country. This time, for the temple building repairs, we have received imperial command according to precedent. Based on this, the government has also issued orders throughout Japan with special consideration. Therefore, this time we will conduct fundraising in all villages and towns without exception, and village headmen and group leaders should provide lodging. Furthermore, communications to the temples and shrines should be received through the village headmen.
