近年米値段下値候處諸色之値段
高値二付諸人及難儀候酒酢醤油味噌
其類米穀を以造品者勿論之儀其時
諸色共二米穀を元として可売り出道利
候處米の値段者下値二候得共諸色之
値段者追々引上候者不埒之事二以後米
穀之値段二准可成丈諸色之値段
引下ヶ可申候尤値段引下ヶ候而も品者を
劣らせ候而者無詮事候間諸事正路二

夫々商売形之者共へ可申付右之通申付候
上二茂猶値段不引そうろう間筋二遂詮議
急度曲事可申付候此趣国々所々え茂

商売人共より可訴出候若捨て置く候ハゝ

【右丁】
近年米の値段は下落したところ、諸物価の値段が
高値であるため諸人が困窮している。酒・酢・醤油・味噌
その類いで米穀をもって製造する品物は当然のことであるが、その時々の
諸物価とも米穀を基準として売り出すのが道理で
あるところ、米の値段は下落しているにも関わらず諸物価の
値段は次第に引き上げられているのは不届きなことである。今後米
穀の値段に準じてできる限り諸物価の値段を
引き下げること。もっとも値段を引き下げても品質を
劣らせては意味がないので、すべて正当に

売買すること。仕入れ元をはじめ問屋・中買など
それぞれ商売を営む者どもに申し付けること。右の通り申し付けた
上でもなお値段を引き下げない者は筋に詮議を遂げ
厳しく処罰すること。この趣旨を国々所々にも
触れ知らせているので、諸物価の仕入れ元が値段を引き下げない
あるいは買い占めなどをする者がある場合は、その手前の
商売人どもから訴え出ること。もし放置するならば
これもまた処罰の対象とする。

In recent years, while rice prices have fallen, the prices of various commodities remain high, causing hardship for the people. For sake, vinegar, soy sauce, miso, and similar products made from rice and grains, it is natural that various commodity prices should be set based on grain prices at any given time. However, while rice prices have fallen, the prices of various commodities continue to rise gradually, which is improper conduct. Henceforth, commodity prices shall be reduced as much as possible in accordance with grain prices. Of course, even when prices are reduced, there is no point if product quality is compromised, so all transactions must be conducted properly.

This applies to wholesale suppliers, intermediate buyers, and all others engaged in commerce. For those who still do not lower prices after receiving these orders, investigations shall be conducted through proper channels and strict punishment shall be imposed. Since this directive is being announced throughout all provinces and localities, if there are wholesale suppliers who do not reduce commodity prices or engage in hoarding, merchants under their authority must report such cases. Failure to do so will also be subject to punishment.
