甚左衛門後家もとを 殺し金子盗取候躰二而逃去
候下男周助人相書 一年齢三拾歳よりふけり
候而相見候 一生国羽州出生之由一中せい二て
痩候方鼻高き方面躰面長色赤黒く疱瘡
之跡有之 一鼻の下横五歩程之疱瘡之窠之跡
有之 一髪月代共濃き方二而月代之内疱瘡之

右の通り、御領は御代官、私領は領主・地頭より触れ知らせるものである。

右の通りの者がいた場合は、その場所に留め置き、御領は御代官に、私領は領主・地頭に申し出て、それから江戸において水野左近将監方へ申し出ること。もし見聞きした者がいてもその旨も申し出ること。家来や者共を入念に吟味させること。隠し置いていたことが知れた者は罪科とする。

Regarding the servant Shūsuke who murdered the widow "Moto," the proprietress of an inn at a rented house belonging to Shōnosuke in Honmachi, Shirakawa, Ōshū Province, on the night of September 9th of the previous year of the Boar, and fled after stealing money - his personal description:
- Age: appears older than thirty years - Birthplace: said to be from Ushū Province - Medium height and thin build, rather high nose, long face with reddish-black complexion and smallpox scars - Has a horizontal smallpox scar about five bu (approximately 1.5cm) below the nose - Both hair and shaved forehead (sakayaki) are rather thick, with some smallpox scars within the shaved area

- Eyes are rather dark and protruding - One front upper tooth is crooked, but other teeth are well-aligned; speech is somewhat rapid with a slight stutter - Eyebrows are thin and dark - Ears are rather small
- Clothing at the time: wore a blue-plum navy checkered striped single garment and light yellow cotton undergarment, with a flower-colored silk obi sash
If anyone matching this description is found, detain them at that location. In government territories, report to the deputy governor (daikan); in private domains, report to the domain lord or local governor (jitō), and then report to the office of Mizuno Sakon-no-shōgen in Edo. Even if someone has only heard about this person, they must report it. Household retainers and servants must be thoroughly investigated. Those found to have concealed information shall be punished.
