もの者勿論買候もの者可為不届者也
右觸書正徳三巳年四月相觸候得共
当時右丈尺ニ而者短く間ニ合兼候間、已来ハ
左之通丈尺ニ織出可申候、

現代語訳
【右丁】
者はもちろん、買った者も不届き者とする。
右の触書は正徳三年巳年四月に触れ回ったが、
現在、右の丈尺では短くて間に合わないので、今後は
左記の通りの丈尺で織り出すこと。
麻布一匹 長さ五丈四尺

右の丈尺より短い木綿・麻布とも
売買は一切してはならない。万一心得違いの者がおり、
右の丈尺に不足する布・木綿とも織り出して売買
した者がいた場合は、罪科を申し付ける。
もっとも、これまでに買い入れて置いてある寸法の短い布・木綿は
当年六月中までに売り払い、七月からは右に定めた
丈尺で取り扱うこと。

Although the above directive was announced in the fourth month of Shōtoku 3 (1713), year of the Snake,
at present, the aforementioned measurements are short and inadequate, so from now on
cloth should be woven according to the following measurements:
Hemp cloth, one roll length: 5 jō 4 shaku
width: 1 shaku
Same, one tan length: 2 jō 7 shaku
width: same
Locally woven cotton, one roll length: 5 jō 4 shaku

Both cotton and hemp cloth shorter than the above measurements
must not be bought or sold at all. Should there be anyone who misunderstands,
and someone weaves and sells cloth or cotton that falls short
of the above measurements, punishment will be imposed.
However, short-measured cloth and cotton that has been purchased and stored up until now
should be sold off by the sixth month of this year, and from the seventh month onward, dealings should be conducted
according to the measurements established above.
