金銀掛合候分調寛文年中改以前之古分銅
両替仲間二而遣候由相聞候二付京大坂堺近江之分
潰等まて外二而　費不致潰直段を以後藤
四郎兵衛方え買受させ目軽キ右分銅内々二而
売買致間敷旨度々相触候處今以西国
並長崎筋二而者右分銅毎々売買致候用候由
相聞候此の後内々二而売買致し候儀者勿論
不隠居四郎兵衛方え可相渡候尤四郎兵衛方より
分銅改役人相廻り紛敷分銅者取上候筈二候
其趣急度可相守者也先年より度々
相触後藤四郎兵衛役人相廻り改め候処近来

金銀の取引に関して、寛文年中の改正以前の古い分銅を両替仲間で使用しているとの話を聞いた。これについて京都・大阪・堺・近江の分は破棄等まで、他では費用をかけずに破棄し、直段をもって後藤四郎兵衛方へ買い受けさせ、目方の軽いその分銅を内々で売買してはならないと度々触れ出したところ、今でも西国並びに長崎方面ではその分銅を毎々売買して使用しているとの話を聞いている。この後、内々で売買することは勿論のこと、隠さずに四郎兵衛方へ渡すべきである。もちろん四郎兵衛方より分銅改め役人が回り、紛らわしい分銅は取り上げる予定である。その趣旨を必ず守るべきである。先年より度々触れ出し、後藤四郎兵衛の役人が回って改めたところ、近頃は

Regarding gold and silver transactions, it has come to our attention that old weights from before the reforms during the Kanbun era are being used by money exchange associations. Concerning this matter, those from Kyoto, Osaka, Sakai, and Omi should be destroyed, and elsewhere they should be destroyed without expense, with the prices paid to Goto Shirōbei's office for their purchase. The selling and buying of these lightweight weights in private has been repeatedly prohibited. However, we continue to hear that in the western provinces and the Nagasaki region, these weights are frequently bought and sold and used. Hereafter, private buying and selling is of course forbidden, and without concealment, they should be handed over to Shirōbei's office. Officials from Shirōbei's office will make rounds to inspect weights, and suspicious weights will be confiscated. This directive must be strictly observed. Although this has been repeatedly announced since previous years and Goto Shirōbei's officials have made inspection rounds, recently
