右の者の儀、不審な点があり、町代（まちだい）に諸々申し付け置き候ところ、逃げ去り候えども、心得違いより数（す）立ち帰り候につき、差し押さえの上、吟味に及んだところ、小皿（こさら）いたし候段（だん）申し立て、不埒（ふらち）につき、急度（きっと）申し付くべきところ、稽古牢舎（けいこ ろうしゃ）申し付け候義につき、格別の御用捨（ごようしゃ）として、改めて手鎖（てくさり）申し付け候。急度（きっと）相慎み、罷り在るべく候。

Jizaemon
Regarding the above-named individual: there were suspicious circumstances, and various instructions had been issued through the machidai (town representative). Although he had fled, he returned of his own accord after some time due to a misunderstanding of proper conduct. Upon being placed under restraint and subjected to inquiry (ginmi), he made a statement claiming he had committed only a minor offense (kosara). This was deemed improper and outrageous (furachi), and while a strict punishment was to be imposed, given that he had already served time in the training/preliminary detention (keiko rōsha), as a special act of leniency, he is hereby instead sentenced to hand-shackles (tekusari). He is firmly ordered to conduct himself with utmost restraint.
