【右丁】
一、四角（しかく）義、先年も博奕を致し、また候この度手合いを致すべき段を相催し、不埒につき過料銭を申し付ける。
一、治兵衛（じへえ）義、去る六ヶ年以前、同人の権宅（かりのすまい）にて博奕を相■（判読不能）し候を、親類・組合・丁代・組頭・隣家の者共、不義は有之間敷（あるまじき）、御法度を相続し候者有之は急度（きっと）異見を差し加え申すべきところ、等閑（なおざり）に折り過ごし候段、不埒につき過料を申し付くべき処、治兵衛義追放を申し付け候間、その沙汰に及ばず、急度叱りを申し付け候。
右の通り裁許（さいきょ）せしめ候条、その旨を得て、向後（こうご）御法度・筋を厳重に相守り、家来を確かに出（いだ）すべし。

Item: Shikaku, having committed gambling in previous years, and having again organized [others] with the intention of engaging in gambling matches on this occasion, is hereby ordered to pay a fine (karyō-sen) on account of this outrageous conduct.
Item: Regarding Jihei — six years prior, gambling was [conducted / discovered] at his temporary residence. His relatives, neighborhood association, town representative (chōdai), neighborhood head (kumigashira), and neighboring households, [knowing that] such improper conduct ought not to exist, and [knowing that] they were obligated to firmly remonstrate (iken) with anyone who violated the prohibitions (go-hatto), instead passed the matter over negligently. This conduct is outrageous and they would ordinarily be subject to a fine; however, since Jihei himself has already been sentenced to banishment (tsuihō), there is no need to pursue the matter further against them [on that count], and they are hereby strictly reprimanded (shikari).
In accordance with the above adjudication (saikyō), the parties are to take note of this ruling, and henceforth must strictly observe the laws and regulations (go-hatto/suji), and must reliably keep their subordinates and dependents in order.
