この度、兵庫御開港・商社御取立てにつき、外国交易取組方の元手として差し加え合わせ致し、または品納めにて交易取組み、夏物は大坂中之嶋商社会所へ申し立て候様に致すべく、左は商法として金銀をもって銘々五合高に応じる割合にて相下げ、尤も衆加令を致し候とも、交易■■（判読不能）候。

[The parties] shall comply accordingly. Furthermore, the fine (karyō-sen) of three kanmon shall be duly paid.

On this occasion, in connection with the opening of the port of Hyōgo and the establishment of commercial associations (shōsha), [the following is to be observed]: funds are to be pooled as working capital for engaging in foreign trade, or alternatively, goods may be contributed in kind to participate in trade. Summer goods are to be reported to the Commercial Association Office (Shōsha Kaisho) at Nakanoshima in Osaka. Regarding the commercial procedures on the other hand, gold and silver [currency] shall be distributed to each person in proportion to their assessed productivity (gōdaka), [and] even should [a general] assembly be convened, as regards the trade [— the remainder is illegible].
