…賃銭として申し付け候旨、その通り受け取るべく候。もっとも、高札掛け改め方の義は、その筋々へ申すべき事。
一、御用につき旅行の面々へ下され候人馬、並びに右の向き持参、かつ諸向きより差し立て候御用物は、すべて無賃銭立て御免とし、人場・川場ともに夫々御定賃銭を相払い旅行致し、差し添え無之御用物は、貫目懸け申し候賃銭を相添え差し立て候はずに候条、その旨ご承知おき下さるべく候。

…shall be designated as the officially fixed fares (osadame-chinsen), and [the relevant parties] shall accept these rates accordingly. Furthermore, regarding the matter of replacing and updating the notice boards (takafuda), this shall be communicated to the appropriate offices and authorities.
Item: Regarding persons traveling on official business (goyō) — the post-horses and porters (jinba) allocated to such travelers, as well as goods carried by those persons and official goods (goyō-mono) dispatched from various offices — all such are hereby exempted from fares (muchinsen-tate go-men). [However,] travelers shall pay the officially fixed fares respectively for both overland transport (jinba) and river-crossings (kawaba). As for official goods dispatched without an accompanying person, the fares shall be calculated by weight (kanme-kake) and the appropriate fare shall be attached when dispatching such goods. Please be duly informed of the foregoing.
