役人は多人数に及ばず、壱人罷り出で候様に致すべく、使い払いの儀も、御朱印等重き品柄、並びに諸役人旅行の節は格別、その時は見計らい、差し出さずとも苦しからず候事。
右の通り、諸国脇往還継場これ有り候村々、御領・私領・寺社領共に洩れなき様に相触れらるべく候。

[Regarding guides who come forth when official travelers are passing through:] Officials need not come out in large numbers — only one person shall come forth. Likewise, with regard to the matter of gratuities (tsukai-barai): except in special cases such as the passage of items bearing the vermilion seal (go-shuin) or other matters of particular gravity, or when various officials are traveling, there is no need to present [a gratuity] on such occasions, and this shall cause no difficulty.
As stated above, the villages along the branch highways (waki-ōkan) throughout the provinces where post-stations (tsugiba) are located — whether under domain lands (go-ryō), private lands (shi-ryō), or temple and shrine lands (jisha-ryō) — shall all be duly notified without exception.
