...wherefore, after the payment of the compensation (dairy ō) for the goods, a fine (karyō) in coin is hereby imposed. Furthermore, the said fine must be paid within three days.

On the twenty-seventh day, it was conveyed to the kumigashira [group head/neighborhood chief] that the fine money should be submitted.

Regarding the above-named individual: during the third month of this year, his chōshi [sake flasks/vessels] were stolen by a vagrant (mushuku) named Masutarō, yet he rendered no assistance in reporting the matter [to the authorities], which constitutes negligent conduct; therefore, he is hereby firmly reprimanded.
