【左丁】
右の趣旨は去る六日に京都において（幕府より）お尋ねがあったものであり、当地においても開港の件を相触れるよう命じられた。
右の通り、公儀（幕府）より御書付が出されたので、町中へ相触れるべき候。以上。
十二月
御書付四通、二十八日の夜、四度（四回）に行司に添えて（届けられた）。
数銭を取り扱っていた者（賃銭を徴収していた者）をそれぞれ呼び出して申し渡しが行われたところ、時節柄ゆえ物騒（ないし多忙・困難な状況）につき、田中氏に頼み合わせ、月番一人をもって丁代中（町代の皆）へ相渡し申し候。
先日、越府（他府・府外へ越えた際）の触れ書きの件について（当方より）お尋ね申し候。

The foregoing content had been inquired into in Kyoto on the 6th of the month, and accordingly, instructions have been issued that the matter of the [port] opening is also to be publicly announced in this locality.
As the above has been issued as an official notice (o-kakitsuke) from the shogunal authorities (kōgi), it is to be duly circulated throughout the town. Thus stated.
Twelfth Month
Four copies of the official notices were delivered on the night of the 28th, in four separate rounds, accompanied by the gyōji (administrative officer/messenger).
Those who had been collecting [service] fees were each called forth and given instructions. However, given the troubled and difficult circumstances of the times, the matter was entrusted to Mr. Tanaka, and the notices were delivered to all the chōdai (town representatives) by a single month-duty officer (tsukiban).
Separately, an inquiry has been made regarding the notice that was issued upon the crossing into [another] domain or district on a prior date.
