（前頁より続き）そこに在った酒井左衛門尉の人数がその場所へ乱入し、発砲に及んだため、捨て置き難く、同人より召し捕って引き渡すよう掛け合ったところ、道理を弁えず発砲に及んだため、余儀なく戦争（交戦）となりました。ついては、なお逃走した者どもも少なからずいると思われますので、そのような者を見聞きした場合には、速やかに召し捕らえ、自然と取り逃がした場合でも、そのまま捨て置かず、早々に訴え出るようにしてください。万一、見聞きしていながらそのまま放置した者は、連座の咎（とが）に処せられるでしょう。

以上の趣旨を、御料・私領・寺社領の区別なく、漏れなく触れ知らせるべきものとします。

(Continued from the previous page) …the forces of Sakai Saemon-no-jō, who were stationed there, broke in and commenced firing. As this could not be overlooked, a demand was made to the said person to apprehend and hand over the suspects; however, without reason or justification, they opened fire, and as a result, armed conflict became unavoidable. In light of this, it is expected that there are still a number of fugitives who have fled the scene. Should any such individuals be sighted or heard of, they are to be apprehended immediately; and even if they naturally escape capture, they must not be left as they are — the matter is to be reported without delay. Should anyone who has knowledge of such individuals leave them undisturbed, they shall be subject to punishment as an accessory.

The foregoing is to be communicated without exception to all domains — whether shogunal lands (goryō), private domains (shiryō), or temple and shrine holdings (jisha-ryō) — leaving none uninformed.
