右の者の儀、曽祖父以来、役儀を相勤め、親・本右衛門も実体（じったい）に相勤め候。あわせて、往々御用のため、并びにこの度、町年寄見習を申し付け候。これにより、役米五俵を下され候者なり。
三月五日
内藤与兵衛様・川地嘉兵衛様御出で、ついでに御月番・川地様より仰せ渡され候。御代官・柿木様、御物書・井上段（いのうえだん）、その外、例の通り御出席。

Regarding the aforementioned person: his family has served in official duties since his great-grandfather's time, and his father, Hon'emon, has likewise served with sincerity and diligence. In view of all this, and for future service to the domain, he is hereby appointed as Apprentice Town Elder [町年寄見習]. Accordingly, he is granted five bales of rice [役米五俵] as a stipend for this role.
Fifth day of the third month
Naitō Yobe'e and Kawachi Kanbe'e were in attendance, and on this occasion, the Monthly Duty Officer [御月番], Lord Kawachi, conveyed the order. The Magistrate [御代官], Lord Kakigi, the Official Scribe [御物書], Inoueda, and others attended as customary.
