右の者、総督府よりお尋ねの趣これあるにつき、穿鑿の上差し出し候様、領分はもちろん、御十条様へも御通達致すべき旨、追分宿の御本陣より仰せ渡され候旨、真田信濃守様衆より申し来たり候。
右の通りの者これにある於いては、その所に留め置き、その筋へ申し出るべく候。もし見聞に及び候ては、その段も申し出るべく候。
書の趣、町中へ相触れるべく候。以上。

Mizuno Tanba
Regarding the above-named individual, as there is an inquiry from the Sōtokufu (General Headquarters), we have received word from retainers of Sanada Shinano-no-Kami that it has been ordered, via the main honjin of Aiwake-juku, that (this person) should be investigated and handed over, and that this notice should be communicated not only throughout our domain's territory but also to the Ojūjō-sama (the Tokugawa domain or relevant authority).
Should the above-named individual be found anywhere, he is to be detained on the spot and reported to the appropriate authorities. Likewise, should anyone come to hear of or witness anything relating to this matter, that too should be reported.
The contents of this notice are to be circulated throughout the town. That is all.
