一、御領分中、同職（同業者）どもの改め方等、その外、礼・雑舞の節は帯刀も相見え候ところ、このたび立場を弁えず不埒なる高言を申し立て候につき、格別の筋をもって（処分を）申し付けらるべく候。
一、代（町年寄並の格）として、町年寄並・船の紺屋頭を申し付け候。なお又、勘定（計算・吟味）されるべく候。

Shimura Buhei
The aforementioned person: A memorandum recording that during the previous year, the Year of the Boar, [he] was appointed as head of the dyers' guild (*konya-gashira*), and a certificate of authorization was issued to him.
Item: Regarding the inspection and oversight of fellow guild members (*dōshoku*) throughout the domain, and furthermore, at ceremonial and festive occasions (*rei* and *zōmai*), he was seen wearing a sword — yet on this occasion, he overstepped his station and made impertinent and presumptuous declarations. Therefore, [appropriate] disciplinary measures shall be imposed upon him through extraordinary proceedings.
Item: [He] is hereby appointed — in the capacity equivalent to town elder (*machidoshiyori-nami*) — as head of the dyers' guild (*konya-gashira*) of the ships [or riverside district]. Furthermore, [the matter] shall be subject to further deliberation and accounting.
