一 安右衛門義御礼廻り先達而之通御役人中此方共両人相廻り候様

一 中村よし原御林山渡ハ差支之儀有之此度不相渡候旨届申

一 義右衛門上山田川除普請追頼木道具為渡昼時より罷越候段

一 四半廻り之竹三本岡野倉右衛門組方入用ニ付受取置段談有之
歳神坂御藪ニ而伐り相渡候様杉右衛門江及沙汰候
一 安右衛門誓詞と日御用番江入御覧候尤直ニ御戻被成候
一 峯山寺材木願左之通役筋江差出候尤郡代中江も□様書付
一 願差出候由申聞候則郡代中江も今日掛合御当番江も
書付入候覧候追而御沙汰可成候由被仰聞候

【右丁】
申し付けた旨を良蔵に申し渡し、帰宅して上下を着用して出向いた。
一 八つ半時に奥谷源左衛門と書役の中山忠右衛門が出向き、誓詞が済んで御礼を申し聞いた。なお月番として良蔵も出席した。
一 安右衛門の御礼廻りについて、先達ての通り御役人中、こちら共に両人で廻るよう申し渡した。誓詞の御札はこちら共に両人だけで良いが、同日のことなので、両方とも先達ての良蔵の通り廻るよう申し付けた。
一 両人に御書付の趣旨を申し渡した旨の御届けおよび御礼を兼ねて御用番御〔 〕へ出向いた。誓詞が済んだ旨の御届けを別に認めた。誓詞は追って御用日に入御覧いただく予定である。
二十三日
一 杉左衛門と安右衛門が昨晩帰着した旨を申し聞いた。荻尾の見廻りでは別条なかった。
【左丁】
一 中村吉原御林山渡しは差し支える事情があり、この度は渡らなかった旨を届け出て申し聞いた。
一 義右衛門が上山田川除の普請追頼木の道具を渡すため、昼時より出向いた旨を届け出て申し聞いた。
一 四半廻りの竹三本を岡野倉右衛門組方で入用につき受け取り置いた旨の相談があり、歳神坂御藪で伐って相渡しするよう杉右衛門に沙汰した。
一 安右衛門の誓詞をその日御用番へ入御覧いただいた。なお直ちに御戻しいただいた。
一 峯山寺の材木願について以下の通り役筋へ差し出した。なお郡代中へも同様の書付を願い差し出した由を申し聞いた。すなわち郡代中へも今日掛け合い、御当番へも書付を入御覧いただいた。追って御沙汰があるであろう旨を仰せ聞かされた。

He conveyed to Ryōzō that the appointment had been made, and after returning home and donning his formal attire (kamishimo), he went out.
1. At half past eight o'clock, Okutani Genzaemon and scribe Nakayama Chūemon came out, completed their oath ceremony, and expressed their gratitude. Ryōzō also attended as the monthly duty officer.
1. Regarding Aemon's courtesy rounds, as previously arranged, he was instructed to make rounds together with the officials and both of us. While the oath tablets could be handled by just the two of us, since it was the same day, he was ordered to make rounds in both capacities, following the precedent set by Ryōzō.
1. After conveying the contents of the written instructions to both men, we went to the duty officer's office to report and express our gratitude. A separate report was prepared regarding the completion of the oath ceremony. The oath document will be reviewed on a subsequent official day.
23rd day
1. Sugizaemon and Aemon reported that they returned last evening. There were no problems during the inspection of Hagino-o.

1. They reported that there were impediments regarding the Nakamura Yoshihara forest crossing, so it was not carried out this time.
1. Gizaemon reported that he went out from midday to deliver tools for additional timber for the Kamiyamada river maintenance construction.
1. There was discussion about keeping three bamboo poles for quarterly rounds needed by Okano Kuraemon's group, and Sugiemon was instructed to have them cut and delivered from Toshigamisaka bamboo grove.
1. Aemon's oath document was submitted to the duty officer for review on that day and was promptly returned.
1. Regarding the timber request from Mineyama Temple, it was submitted to the relevant officials as follows. It was also reported that a similar written request was submitted to the district magistrate. Accordingly, consultation was made with the district magistrate today, and the document was also submitted to the duty officer for review. We were informed that further instructions would follow.
