一 御次御用こぶし苗木三本日影林御林之内ニ而為堀則
二ノ丸木形迄取入候由杉左衛門申聞岡野粂右衛門江申談相
渡申候御普請奉行中江も其段申談候

一 山室村御林境之義先達而見分之節村役人山守之者江も
相尋候処聢と存候者も無之おね通り御境と相心得居り
候由申聞候得共極印入候境木も無之段々詮義致候処峯
通りニ境木有之極印も有之候然ル上は御境右之見返シ
と被存候乍然村方末々迄も得と吟味之上申聞候様申
渡候処其後罷出村役人申聞候は弥右之場所御境ニ
可有之候旨申聞候依之序次第境相立候様山方衆へも
及沙汰置候此段郡代中へも申談今日御用番江□申達候

一 藤兵衛の病気は問題ないため、今日より引き下がる旨の案内があった。
九日
一 杉左衛門、義右衛門が昨晩川下郷より帰着した旨を届け出て申し聞いた。小沢御林の内、下牧村の者が願い出て、村方でも少々御払いを願い出たため、振り分け方法について適正な値段を申し聞くよう申し付けて帰着した由を申し聞いた。平沢村、横山村の散木七十本についてもこれまた相渡した旨を申し聞いた。
十日
一 御次の御用でこぶし苗木三本を日影林御林の内にて掘り、すぐに二ノ丸木形まで取り入れた由を杉左衛門が申し聞き、岡野粂右衛門に申し談じて相渡し申した。御普請奉行中にもその旨を申し談じた。

一 山室村御林境の件について、先達て見分の節に村役人、山守の者にも相尋ねたところ、確かに存じている者もなく、尾根通りが御境と心得ている由を申し聞いたけれども、極印の入った境木もなく、段々と詮議したところ、峯通りに境木があり極印もあった。そうであれば御境は右の見返しと思われる。しかしながら村方の末々まで十分に吟味の上申し聞くよう申し渡したところ、その後出頭した村役人が申し聞くには、やはり右の場所が御境であろう旨を申し聞いた。これにより順次境界を設定するよう山方衆へも沙汰を及ぼし置いた。この件について郡代中へも申し談じ、今日御用番に□申し達した。
一 右同所御林御払いの件について伺い置いた。
一 板山村御林地所引き替え願いの件についても申し達し伺い置いた。もっとも先達て

1. It was reported that Sugi Saemon and Gizaemon returned from Kawashimo Village last night. Regarding the Ozawa forest lands, people from Shimomaki Village made a request, and the village also petitioned for some timber sales, so they were instructed to inquire about appropriate distribution methods and pricing before returning. It was also reported that seventy pieces of scattered timber from Hirasawa Village and Yokoyama Village were distributed.
10th day
1. For the next official business, three kobushi (magnolia) saplings were dug from within the Hikage Forest lands and immediately transported to the Ninomaru timber yard, as reported by Sugi Saemon. This was discussed with Okano Kumezaemon and handed over. This matter was also discussed with the construction magistrates.

Regarding the boundary of Yamamuro Village forest lands, when we made an inspection the other day and inquired of the village officials and forest guards, none had certain knowledge, and they said they understood the ridge line to be the boundary. However, there were no boundary trees with official marks, so we conducted a thorough investigation and found boundary trees along the ridge with official marks. If this is the case, the boundary would be the reverse of what was previously thought. Nevertheless, we instructed them to conduct a thorough examination throughout the village before reporting. Afterward, village officials who came forward reported that indeed that location should be the boundary. Accordingly, we have informed the mountain officials to establish boundaries in sequence. This matter was also discussed with the county magistrates and reported to the duty officer today.
