Document of undertaking for government firewood
One: For His Excellency's government use firewood - hardwood 300 ken, softwood 300 ken,
total 600 ken, Japanese cypress lumber 50 ken, larch lumber 100 ken - we wish to
undertake this contract for the coming Year of the Sheep (Meiji 4). Regarding the location,
it is from Kumazawa to Oyokokawa, where we wish to
cut and prepare the government firewood and lumber.
Regarding firewood cutting fees: mountain cutting wage is 16 monme 5 bu per ken,
river transport fee is 4 monme 5 bu
