乍恐以口上書奉願上候御事
一豆腐直段之儀去ル九月中直下ケ奉願上候節
壱挺代弐百六拾八文売捌仕兼候得共大豆追々直下ケ
之向相見へ候間情々仕是迄売《見せ消ち：捌｜続》候処此度壱丁代
弐百拾八文売被 仰付候得共入用之品々余り高直ニ而
殊ニ当節薪等別而引上ケ大豆直段之儀茂
先達中ゟも直上ケニ相成候間仍之諸入用相嵩
候ニ付此度被 仰付候直段ニ而者商売取続兼候間
何卒先直段ニ御戻置被成下置候様偏御歎願奉申上候
猶また大豆薪等外ニ入財之品直下ケニ相成候
迄之内右段御聞済被成下置候様奉願上候以上

恐れながら口上書をもって願い上げ奉る事
一、豆腐の値段の件について、去る九月中に値下げをお願い申し上げた際、一丁につき二百六十八文で販売することは困難でしたが、大豆が追々値下がりする傾向が見られましたので、無理をしてこれまで販売を続けてまいりました。この度一丁につき二百十八文での販売をお命じいただきましたが、必要な品々があまりに高値であり、特に当節は薪なども格別に値上がりし、大豆の値段についても先だってから値上がりしており、これらの諸経費がかさんでおります。この度お命じいただいた値段では商売を続けることができませんので、何卒以前の値段にお戻しいただけますよう、ひとえにお嘆願申し上げます。
なお、大豆・薪等その他の材料の品が値下がりするまでの間、右の件をお聞き届けいただけますようお願い申し上げます。以上

1. Regarding the matter of tofu prices: When we petitioned for a price reduction this past September, although it was difficult to sell at 268 mon per block, we saw signs that soybean prices would gradually decline, so we forced ourselves to continue selling until now. This time we have been ordered to sell at 218 mon per block, but the necessary materials are extremely expensive. Particularly at present, firewood and other items have risen exceptionally in price, and soybean prices have also increased since some time ago. Due to these mounting various expenses, we cannot continue business at the price ordered this time. We humbly beseech you to restore the previous price.
Furthermore, until soybeans, firewood, and other materials decrease in price, we petition that you approve the above matter. The above stated.
We submit the prices of materials needed for production:
- Premium white soybeans: 2 gō per 100 mon
- Per one form of tofu: oil extraction fee 100 mon
- Same: nigari (coagulant) 72 mon
- Firewood for one form: 250 mon
