現代語訳
恐れながら口上書をもってお願い申し上げる件
私は、この度豆腐商売を始めたく、型箱については新規に、印は井桁を付けて商売をいたしたく存じます。つきましては、御鑑札をお下げ渡しくださいますようお願い申し上げます。

右の通り売り出したくお願い申し上げます。以上。

右十一月三日朝に提出し、同日山下弥右左衛門殿へ提出申し上げたところ、五日夕刻に明日六日より二百七十二文で売り出すよう仰せ付けられ、万屋金次を呼んで申し渡した。
