しかし彦右衛門の家内が大いに立腹し、やむなく論争となったところ、太市が申すことには「そのような面倒なことを言う者には、私どもは世話をすることができません。敷金を返すならば早速引き取ります」と申しました。その上で、お上様へ願い出たところ、卯年七月二十七日にお呼び出しがあり、ご仲裁をしていただきましたが、その後の様子を見聞きしたところ、別段悪い様子もあるため、再びご厄介をおかけする件を願い上げ、恐れ入ります。
一、これまで盆・歳暮・五節句の挨拶がないこと
一、卯年十月の恵比寿講の挨拶がないこと
一、お札配りをお祝いしましたが、これも挨拶がないこと
しかるに大晦日の夜四つ半時（午後十一時頃）になった時分、太市のところから米二升・酒一升を女子に持たせて遣わしましたが、私は留守でしたので娘よねが預かっておきました。ところが辰年の春の年始にも挨拶がないこと。
一、その他五節句・祭礼が近づいても一向に挨拶がないこと
一、来る九月に太市が女房をもらう際に知らせがないこと
一、同月二十二日に下り橋の上で出会った時、太市が申すことには
