乍恐以口上書奉願上候御事
文久三亥年十二月霜町鍛冶屋政八所持之鉾持丁
東側ニ而表口五間壱尺五寸裏行七間土蔵
壱ケ所添候処譲渡申度政八ゟ願有之且宿
町役人町年寄連印之本証文持参ニ付譲請可申
規定致シ買入申候右者全鉾持町藤屋銀蔵義ニ而
親東十甥之続ニ而同人所持致居処ニ可仕心得之所
与三郎方同居之事故親東十名前ニ而買請
証文請取申候ニ相違無御座候ニ付本書添書
差遣し有之候全自分自由致候事ニ者無御
座行々者別家致候迄之名前之由ニ御座候
家建主三好屋文四郎江地代金差遣呉可申候
様先年懸合仕候処右家鋪者兼而愁心有
之候間売渡呉候様被申何分方付不申全者

恐れながら口上書をもって願い上げ申し上げる件
文久三年亥年十二月、霜町の鍛冶屋政八が所持している鉾持丁東側にて、表口五間一尺五寸、裏行七間の土蔵一か所が付いている土地を譲り渡したいとの政八からの願いがあり、また宿町役人・町年寄の連印のある正式な証文を持参したため、譲り受けることを決定し買い入れました。右の件は、鉾持町の藤屋銀蔵の親戚筋の甥の続柄で、同人が所持していた土地に住むつもりでしたが、
与三郎の家に同居していることから、親戚の名前で買い受けの証文を受け取りました。これに相違ございませんので、正式書類に添書を送付いたします。全て自分の自由にすることはございません。将来は別家を立てるまでの名前だけのことでございます。家屋建築主の三好屋文四郎に地代金をお渡しくださるよう、先年お願いいたしましたところ、右の屋敷については以前から心配事があり、売り渡してくれるようにと申されましたが、なんとも決着がつかず、

Respectfully submitting a petition by oral statement
In the 12th month of Bunkyū 3, Year of the Boar, the blacksmith Masahachi of Shimo-machi wished to transfer his property on the east side of Hokomotichō, with a frontage of 5 ken 1 shaku 5 sun, depth of 7 ken, and one storehouse attached. Upon receiving this request from Masahachi and his presentation of official documents bearing the joint seals of inn town officials and town elders, we decided to accept the transfer and purchased the property. This matter concerns property held by Fujiya Ginzō of Hokomotichō, who is related as a nephew through family connections, and where the same person intended to reside,
However, due to living together in Yosaburo's household, the purchase document was received under the relative's name. As there is no discrepancy in this matter, we are sending the formal documents with accompanying letters. This does not mean complete personal freedom over the property. This is merely a nominal arrangement until a separate household can be established in the future. When we previously requested that ground rent be paid to the house builder Miyoshiya Bunshirō, he stated that he had long-standing concerns about the said property and asked that it be sold to him, but no agreement could be reached.
