現代語訳
右にお願い申し上げた通り、全くの不慮の出来事によりご迷惑をおかけしてしまい、誠に恐れ入ります。善七ならびに親類一同がお願い申し上げている内容に相違はございませんので、どうか格別のご憐憫をもってご赦免くださいますれば、御慈悲のほど、一同ありがたく存じます。よって、これを取り次いで差し上げます。以上。

As stated in the petition above, we are deeply mortified that this entirely unforeseen incident has caused such inconvenience [to your office]. We confirm that the contents of the petition submitted by Shichi and his relatives are accurate and without any discrepancy. We therefore humbly request that you grant a special pardon out of your compassionate mercy, for which all parties would be most profoundly grateful. Accordingly, we forward this petition on their behalf. Respectfully submitted.
