恐れながら申し上げます。
たびたびお願い申し上げることを、誠に恐れ入りますが、多町（おおまち）における私の地所の件につきまして、去る極月（十二月）十二日にお申し渡しいただいた内容では、江戸表の前林半治の地所よりお申し渡しがあるとのことでしたので、春のうちに罷り越し、右の半治殿と直接掛け合いたいと存じ、恐れながら御添状（ごそえじょう）を頂戴したく願い上げたところ、五月十二日のお沙汰では、嘉藤治へ御利解（ごりかい）くださるよう仰せ渡し下されましたことを、ありがたく存じておりましたところ、早くも年の暮れになってしまいましたゆえ、早速お返しいただけるよう、嘉藤治殿へ重ねてご説諭くださいますよう、何度もお願い申し上げます。また、もし当所において右の半治殿の代人がおられ、あれこれ申し立てる者があれば、その者と掛け合いしたく、お白洲（おしらす）にて恐れながらお願い申し上げます。
右の地所を返していただけますよう、何卒ひとえにお願い申し上げます。

[Petition]
I humbly beg your indulgence, and though I am deeply ashamed to impose upon you with yet another repeated petition, I respectfully submit the following regarding my land (jisho) in Ōmachi:
On the 12th day of the last month of the previous year, I received a directive stating that a notification would come from the land of Maebayashi Hanji in Edo. Wishing to travel there in the spring to negotiate directly with the said Hanji, I humbly requested a letter of introduction (soejō) from your office. On the 12th day of the 5th month, I received word that orders had been given for Katoji to be reasoned with and persuaded, for which I was most grateful. However, as the year has now nearly come to its end, I humbly and repeatedly implore you to once again counsel and persuade Katoji to promptly return the land to me.
Furthermore, should there be a representative (dainin) of the aforementioned Hanji present in this area who makes various claims, I wish to confront that person directly, and humbly request that this matter be heard before the magistrate's court (oshirasu).
I most earnestly and sincerely beseech you to arrange for the return of the said land.
