乍恐以口上書奉願上候御事
私義於多町地所木材頂戴
仕普請延年に付先達而中
御引上之蒙 御沙汰奉恐入
候処十二月廿日迄に普請出来
可仕奉願上御請書奉差上
置候処に大工幷に杣等差支候に付
度々奉恐入候得共来る巳二月
中出来可仕旨何卒以
御慈悲奉願上候通御聞済
被成下置候はゝ難有仕合に奉

恐れながら口上書をもって願い上げます件
私は於多町の土地で木材をいただき、
普請を行っておりましたが延期となり、先だって
御引き上げの御沙汰を承り恐れ入っております。
しかし十二月二十日までに普請を完成
いたします旨願い上げ、請書を差し上げて
おりましたところ、大工並びに杣（木こり）等に差し障りがあり、
度々恐れ入りますが、来る巳年二月
中に完成いたします旨、何卒
御慈悲をもって願い上げました通り御承認を
いただけましたなら、有り難い仕合いと
存じます。以上

With all due respect, I humbly submit this oral petition:
Regarding myself, I received timber from land in Ota-machi
and was conducting construction work, but it was delayed, and previously
I received notice of withdrawal, which I humbly acknowledge with trepidation.
However, I had petitioned that the construction would be completed
by the 20th day of the 12th month and submitted a written pledge,
but there were difficulties with carpenters and woodcutters,
so although I repeatedly apologize for the inconvenience, I petition that it will be completed
during the 2nd month of the coming Snake year. If you would
graciously grant approval as I have petitioned
with your benevolence, it would be a most
grateful circumstance. The above.
