**クナシリ西地「クサリチ」と呼ばれる場所の石柱**
クナシリ（国後）島の西側の地、「クサリチ」と呼ばれる場所に柱状の石があり、その中に蝦夷（アイヌ）の鎧の形をしたものがある。
伝えによれば、判官・義経が脱ぎ置かれた鎧が化して石となったものだという。
はなはだ奇異なことであり、本邦（日本）では他に類を見ない珍しいものである。

**The Stone Pillar at "Kusarichi" in the Western Part of Kunashiri Island**
In the western part of Kunashiri Island, at a place called "Kusarichi," there stands a pillar-like stone, within which there is a form resembling the armor (*yoroi*) of the Ezo (Ainu) people.
According to tradition, this is said to be the armor left behind by Hangan Yoshitsune, which transformed into stone.
This is an exceedingly wondrous thing, the like of which exists nowhere else in Japan.
