造製遠近処々にて
少違あり形状亦

なし木の皮にて板を

舟図
製造は遠近各地によって
多少の違いがあり、形状もまた
同様である。木を彫って船底と
なし、木の皮で板を
綴じ付け、水が入らない
ように綴じ合わせた目地に苔
を詰めるのである。

Diagram of a (Small) Boat
The construction varies slightly
depending on the location, near or far,
and the shape likewise differs.
Wood is carved to form the hull bottom,
and planks are bound together
with tree bark. To prevent water
from entering, moss is packed
into the seams where the planks are joined.
