私儀不調法者ニ御座候処不存寄町代御役儀
被蒙 仰相勤罷在候所昨年ゟ病身相成御役義
御役儀難相勤奉存候依之町代御役儀
難相勤奉存候依之御赦免被成下候様奉願上候

右同断廿三日於御役所ニ而晦日御聞済ニ成候

私弟子藤澤郷的場村善太郎儀桶師職
為見習罷在候処年季明候ニ付暇差遣申候依之
御水役御赦免被成下置候様奉願上候

現代語訳
恐れながら申し上げます
私は不調法者でございますが、思いがけず町代の御役目を
仰せつかり勤めて参りましたが、昨年から病身となり、御役目を
勤めることが困難と存じます。よって町代の御役目を
勤めることが困難でございますので、御免職くださいますようお願い申し上げます
右の趣旨について 新町

御奉行所様
右同様二十三日に御役所にて月末に御許可いただきました
恐れながら申し上げます
私の弟子で藤澤郷的場村の善太郎は桶師の職を
見習いとして勤めておりましたが、年季が明けましたので暇を出します。よって
御水役を御免職くださいますようお願い申し上げます
