筋一切為相背申間敷候自然長煩仕候歟仮令何様之義御座候共

恐れながら
私は鉾持町の傳兵衛方へ縁故がございますところ、傳兵衛は老
衰いたし名跡を相続すべき男子がございませんので、私並びに妻子治郎八
娘いちを連れて傳兵衛の名跡を相続いたしたく内談いたしました。つきましてはお願い申し上げます。

私の養女るミは享和元酉年にお願いして御作事方
御支配の中村勝蔵殿方へ嫁がせましたところ、この度双方の話し合いの上
離縁となり私の方へ引き取りました。なお又同人の娘すへは内縁が
ございますので私の方へ厄介として引き取りたく存じます。つきましてはお願い申し上げます。

土屋利右衛門が藤沢郷へ入り人として郷部に出ましたので請状は左の通りです
請状証文のこと
一、この利右衛門と申す者は確かな者でございますので我等が請け合いに立ち、当子三月より
来る丑三月まで其の御村で郷方の御中間を勤めさせ、礼金四両を只今
確かに受け取りましたところ実正でございます。然る上は御上様への御奉公は申すに及ばず御法度の
筋は一切背くことはございません。自然長患いいたしますか、仮令どのような義がございましても

I have a connection to Denbei's household in Hokomotemachi, but Denbei has grown old
and frail and has no male heir to inherit his family name, so I together with my wife and son Jirōhachi
and daughter Ichi would like to be taken in to inherit Denbei's family name, which we have discussed privately. Therefore I petition for this.
