右之通町中入念相改申候處疑鋪儀少茂無御坐候
万一如何敷儀被及 御聞候者何分之越度ニ茂
可被 仰付候為後日連印證文差上申候處

一、松平丹波守様御領所箕輪領三日町の庄左衛門の息子源兵衛と申す者と内縁もございますので、養子に貰い受け、娘いよと夫婦にして家督相続をいたしたく内談いたしました。これにより願い上げ奉ります。
右の趣、御慈悲をもって願い上げ候通り仰せ付けて下され置かれましたら、ありがたき幸せに存じ奉ります。以上

一、当秋の宗門再御改の儀、段々御用が多くございますので、今年の件については私どもが人別改めをいたしますよう仰せ付けられ、恐れ入ります。町代・組頭立ち会いにて改めましたところ、春中の御改めの通り、宗門並びに人別少しも相違ございません。
一、人別増減の儀については別紙帳面を差し上げ申します。
右の通り町中入念に改めましたところ、疑わしき儀は少しもございません。万一何か不審な儀がお聞こえになりましたら、何分の越度にも仰せ付けられましても、後日のため連印証文を差し上げ申します。

Item: There is an informal engagement with one called Genbei, son of Shōzaemon of Mikkacho in Minowa domain under Lord Matsudaira Tamba no Kami's territory. I wish to take him as an adopted son and have him marry my daughter Iyo to continue the family succession. I have discussed this matter internally and therefore humbly petition.
I would be most grateful if you would graciously grant my petition as requested. That is all.

Item: Regarding this autumn's religious sect re-inspection, as there are many official duties, we have been ordered to conduct the population census ourselves this year, which we humbly acknowledge. When examined in the presence of town representatives and group leaders, the religious affiliations and population records are exactly the same as during the spring inspection, with no discrepancies whatsoever.
Item: Regarding population increases and decreases, we submit a separate ledger.
As stated above, we have carefully inspected the entire town and found nothing suspicious whatsoever. Should any improper matters come to your attention, we accept any punishment that may be imposed, and submit this jointly signed document for future reference.
