商売も不仕候得共何卒聊成共御用弁之端も

旁格別之以 御憐愍石灰請焼被 仰付難有
奉存候所追年石灰捌方不宜別而当夏飯田

右の件について同日お許しをいただきました。
恐れながら口上書をもってお願い申し上げる件
私は当四月中に御才覚金をお命じいただき、ありがたく存じ、少しずつ
少額の金子を上納いたしましたが、残りの分について、あれこれと差し支えがあり、恐れ入っております。
そもそも私は去る巳年から未年まで 御内の御用を勤め、染物の
商売もいたしませんでしたが、何とか少しでも御用弁の端でも

勤めたく存じ出かけましたが、■留守中にことごとく類焼し、その後
商売の元入れ金など借り入れもできず、必至と難渋するようになり、
残りの家財を売り払い、もはや他所で稼ぎに出なければならないと決定
いたしましたところ、 御産物御役所の御用弁も勤めております
折から、格別の 御憐愍をもって石灰請け焼きをお命じいただき、ありがたく
存じましたが、年々石灰のさばき方がよろしくなく、特に当夏飯田が
お差し留めとなり、御近領ともそれに準じたのか、送り込み先に多分
残り荷物となって当惑いたしております。また旧来の懇意で 取り持ってくれ、
少々夏引き糸の世話をいたしましたが、今もって売り方がございません。あれこれと
難渋しておりますので、恐れながら今後融通がつくまで
御憐愍の筋をお願い申し上げます。
右の趣旨で 御慈悲をもってお願い申し上げる通りお命じくださいますならば、
ありがたい仕合せと存じます。以上

We humbly submit this oral petition regarding the following matter
I was ordered to procure funds in the fourth month of this year, for which I am grateful, and have been gradually
making small payments, but regarding the remaining amount, I have various difficulties and am deeply troubled.
Originally, I served in official duties from the year of the snake to the year of the sheep, and did not engage in dyeing
business, but somehow I wanted to serve even in a small capacity for official business

and went out for work, but during my absence everything was destroyed by fire, and afterwards
I could not borrow money for business capital and fell into dire straits,
sold off my remaining household goods, and had already decided
to go elsewhere to earn a living. At that time, while also serving the Product Office,
with special compassion, I was graciously ordered to undertake lime burning,
for which I was grateful, but year after year lime sales have not gone well, and particularly this summer Iida
imposed restrictions, and it seems the neighboring domains followed suit, resulting in much
remaining unsold goods at the shipping destinations, causing me great distress. Also, through old friendships who helped me,
I handled some summer silk thread business, but even now there are no sales. With various
difficulties, I humbly request
compassionate consideration until future arrangements can be made.
Regarding the above matter, if you would graciously grant my petition with your benevolence,
I would consider it most fortunate. The above.
