右者当町初市為御祝儀被下置品々相調
則祢宜いち共へ相渡申候所仍如件

私儀不調法者御座候處不存寄 御勝手方
御用達《割書：幷｜》御買物御用産物方御用被為
仰付猶又追々御世話役等被為 仰付重畳難有
仕合奉存相勤《割書：罷｜》在候處老年《割書：ニ｜》罷成其上近年
持病御座候而難儀仕候ニ付御役儀難相勤奉存候
間何卒以 御憐愍御役儀 御赦免被成下置候様
奉願上候
右之趣以 御慈悲奉願上候通被為 仰付
被下置候者難有仕合奉存候以上

右の分は当町の初市の御祝儀として下された品々を調達し、
祢宜いちと共に渡しましたので、よって書面の通りです。

恐れながら口上書をもって願い上げます御事
私は不調法者でございますところ、思いがけなく御勝手方
御用達並びに御買物御用、産物方御用を仰せ付けられ、
なおまた追々御世話役等を仰せ付けられ、重ね重ね有難い
仕合せと存じ相勤めて参りましたところ、老年となり、その上近年
持病がございまして難儀いたしますにつき、御役儀を勤め難く存じます
間、何卒御憐愍をもって御役儀の御赦免を成し下し置かれますよう
願い上げます。
右の趣意をもって御慈悲により願い上げました通り仰せ付けを
下し置かれましたら有難い仕合せと存じます。以上

Humbly submitting this oral petition
I am an incompetent person, but unexpectedly I was appointed to the treasury office duties, procurement duties, and product office duties, and furthermore was successively appointed to various supervisory roles, for which I am deeply grateful and have been serving diligently. However, I have become elderly, and moreover in recent years I suffer from chronic illness causing me great difficulty, making it hard for me to continue performing my official duties. Therefore, I humbly request that through your compassion you grant me exemption from my official duties.
If you would graciously grant my petition as stated above through your benevolence, I would be most grateful. End.
