私儀不調法者ニ御座候處不寄存丁代御役義
奉蒙 仰難有仕合奉存相勤罷在候得共
近年多病ニ罷成御役義難相勤奉存候
依之丁代御役義御赦免被成下置候様奉

すぐにお聞き届けくださり、武七を呼んで申し渡されました。
恐れながら口上書をもって願い上げ申す事
私は不調法者でございますが、思いがけず町代の御役を
仰せつかり、ありがたい仕合せと存じ、勤めております。しかしながら
近年病気がちになり、御役を勤めることが困難と存じます。
つきましては町代の御役のご赦免を成し下さいますよう

I am an inadequate person, but unexpectedly I was
appointed to the position of town representative,
which I consider a grateful fortune, and I have been serving in this capacity. However,
in recent years I have become frequently ill, and I believe it is difficult to continue serving in this role.
Therefore, I humbly petition that I be pardoned from the position of town representative
